Josh will celebrate his Bar Mitzvah on August 30, 2008 at Temple De Hirsch Sinai in Bellevue.
Josh is the son of Gail and David Lazar of Bellevue and the brother of Zak and Eli. His grandparents are Rita Robbins of Great Neck, N.Y., Mike Robbins of New York, N.Y. and Judi and Brett Lazar of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Joshua is entering the 8th grade at Issaquah Middle School. Josh’s passions in sports are soccer and track. He also enjoys spending time with his brothers, summer at Camp Kalsman, hanging out with friends, wakeboarding, and skiing.
Josh is sharing this occasion with his long-time friend Jenna Levin. For their mitzvah project, Josh and Jenna are organizing a benefit bike ride to raise money for, and awareness of, multiple myeloma research. Jenna’s dad, Marty Levin, died in 2005 after battling this cancer. The bike ride will take place Sun., Sept. 14.
