Ben will celebrate his Bar Mitzvah on Aug. 1, 2009 at Congregation Beth Shalom in Seattle.
Ben’s parents are Michelle Brot and Douglas Ramsay of Seattle. He is the brother of Jonathan. His grandparents are Nathan and Gloria Brot of West Orange, N.J., RuthAnn Ramsay of Maui, Hawaii and the late Robert Ramsay.
Ben is entering the 8th grade at University Prep. He enjoys playing soccer, skiing, chess, and math. For his mitzvah project, he will distribute food to the needy and elderly at the Jewish Family Service Food Bank. Ben will also contribute a portion of the Bar Mitzvah money to the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle to help establish soccer teams for kids in Israel.
