Mishala celebrated her Bat Mitzvah on June 30, 2007 at Temple De Hirsch Sinai in Seattle.
Mishala is the daughter of Ed Horowitz and Lori Hara-Horowitz of Sammamish and the sister of Arieh Horowitz. Her grandparents are Vic and Adrienne Hara of Bellevue and Joan Horowitz of Tacoma.
Mishala completed the 7th-Grade at Beaver Lake Middle School, where she is an honor roll student. She has been dancing competitively on the Backstage Competition Dance team for five years and recently won a teen convention scholarship in Oregon. Mishala also enjoys being on the computer, cooking, shopping, and hanging out with her friends.
For her mitzvah project, Mishala sorted clothing and created baby layette to distribute to families in need. She also collected children’s clothing and baby items at her Bat Mitzvah to deliver to the Eastside Baby Corner.
