Julia celebrated her Bat Mitzvah on June 20, 2009 at Herzl-Ner Tamid Conservative Congregation on Mercer Island.
Julia is the daughter of Michele and Andrew Appelbaum of Bellevue and the sister of Joshua. Her grandparents are Sarah Daitsh and Rhoda Appelbaum, both of Cape Town, South Africa and the late Joe Daitsh and the late Jack Appelbaum.
Julia attends the Jewish Day School of Metropolitan Seattle. She enjoys cooking, playing soccer, and spending her summers at Camp Solomon Schechter.
