Shamber celebrated her Bat Mitzvah on June 19, 2010 at Herzl-Ner Tamid Conservative Congregation on Mercer Island.
Shamber is the daughter of Kathleen Goldstein and the late Jeffrey Goldstein and the sister of Marissa Goldstein. Her grandparents are Nathana Berman of Tamarac, Fla., Kenneth Goldstein of South Easton, Mass., Nora Madden of Hudson, Fla., and the late John Madden.
Shamber will enter the 7th grade this fall at Odle Middle School. She is a student at the Pacific Northwest Ballet School, and enjoys all types of dance, as well as drawing, music, swimming, and hanging out with friends. For her mitzvah project, Shamber has made beaded bracelets to sell with all proceeds going to the Center for Biological Diversity, a non-profit that protects endangered animals.
