Sara Micflik Podolsky Rozenfeld died on March 29, 2007 in Toronto, Ont. She was born November 15, 1912 in Chelm, Poland to Rywka Jablon and Szumel Micflik.
Sara was married Feb 19, 1944 to Ruvin Podolsky and the couple moved to Kiev. There, they had three children, Sam, Riva, and Emilia. Sara also helped raise her stepdaughter Raya.
In 1959, Sara and her family left Kiev to move to Canada. Along the way, she lost her husband to illness in Wroclav, Poland in 1960. They arrived in Montreal, Que. in 1961, and in 1975 Sara was remarried to Israel Rozenfeld.
Sara knew six different languages and at one time worked as a bookkeeper in Poland.
Sara was predeceased by her husband, Israel Rozenfeld. She is survived by her sister Ida (Mendel) Silberman of Côte St. Luc, Montreal; children Sam (Joni) Podolsky of Toronto, Riva (Yefim) Kogan of Toronto, and Emilia Mindel of Seattle; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
