Beginning Ladino

Volunteers needed
The Washington State Holocaust Education Resource Center is seeking volunteers who can drive Holocaust survivors to local schools for speaking engagements. Most of the driving is in the I-5 corridor and presentations usually last one to two hours. The Holocaust Center will reimburse drivers for gas mileage. Jewish chorale
Experienced vocalists sought for the Seattle Jewish Chorale, a community-wide performance choir under the direction of Cantor Marina Belenky. The chorale’s repertoire will reflect the wide spectrum of Jewish musical traditions, including Italian Renaissance psalm settings, classical choral/orchestral works, Israeli pioneer songs, Yiddish theater music, contemporary “Jewish gospel” and Middle Eastern fusion. All voice parts are needed. Sight-reading ability and familiarity with Hebrew, Yiddish and/or Ladino are preferred, but not required.
