Antique-a-Palooza
Kadima brings the Seattle community its own version of the Antique Road Show. This fundraising event will feature antique appraisers and experts as well as music, food and a no-host wine bar. “Chasing sustainability”
Carbon Salon, Kavana and Rodef Tzedek are co-hosting a discussion on the environment and social justice called “Chasing sustainability.” This event will be led by Dave Chameides, a freelance journalist whose work on sustainability and the environment has been featured on ABC News and NPR. Interfaith family Shabbat dinner
Jewish Family Service is hosting a Shabbat dinner for interfaith families. A kosher, vegetarian main dish and dessert will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring a vegetarian side dish to share. All ages are welcome. Cost is $18 per person. Compassionate Listening summer gathering
The Compassionate Listening Project will host its fifth annual summer gathering at Camp Brotherhood, near Mount Vernon, August 1–3. The gathering will focus on techniques for effective communication and understanding across different cultures as well as in everyday settings.
