Eli celebrated his Bar Mitzvah on May 17, 2008 at Temple Beth Am.
Eli is the son of Julie Shapiro and Shelly F. Cohen of Seattle and the brother of Leah McClintock-Shapiro. His grandparents are Patty and Tom McClintock of Corvallis, Ore., and E. Richard and Gilda Cohen of Encino, Calif., and the late Hope and Irving Shapiro.
Eli is in the 7th grade at Washington Middle School. His interests include reading, swimming, soccer and models. For his mitzvah project, Eli participated in Neighborhood Cooking for the Homeless.
