Emma will celebrate her Bat Mitzvah on July 5, 2008 at Bet Alef Meditative Synagogue in Bellevue.
Emma is the daughter of David Levine and Claire Petersky of Bellevue and the sister of Rose Levine Petersky. She is the granddaughter of Ralph and Joan Levine of Las Vegas, Nev. and Millard and Ruth Petersky of Seattle.
Emma will enter the 8th grade at Highland Middle School. Her interests include fine cheeses, theatre, weird music, opera, movies and working on the Obama campaign. She is also a member of the co-ed wrestling team at Highland Middle School. For her mitzvah project, Emma raised more than $2,000 for Chinese earthquake victims.
