The Seattle branch of the Friendship Circle organization, which provides volunteer opportunities for teens in the community to work with special-needs children, has received a $20,000 grant from Chase Bank’s Chase Community Giving program.
Friendship Circle was one of 195 charities nationwide, and of five in the state, to receive a grant based upon votes on the Facebook social media site. The organization received more than 1,800 votes in the program.
Elazar and Esther Bogomilsky, who run the organization, will use the money to hire a full-time coordinator to create programs for brothers and sisters of kids with special needs.
