On behalf of MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger, I want to thank all the good people at JTNews for your support and sponsorship of our recent Hanukkah event. It was touching to witness Heather Wolfson of MAZON presenting you with the “Mitzvah Hero” award. It is richly deserved.
I also want to take this opportunity to thank Pip and Miriam Meyerson of Matzoh Momma Catering for the excellent donated buffet, to Temple De Hirsch Sinai for hosting the event once again, and to our many attendees and sponsors.
The result was a net contribution to MAZON of over $13,000, our largest amount to date. You may also be interested to know that our Seattle Hanukkah event was duplicated this year both in D.C. and in Chicago.
Our success is due to a team effort, but it would be impossible without the on-going sponsorship of JTNews. Looking forward to next Hanukkah and our sixth annual celebration to fight hunger.
