By finishing at 14-1, the Seattle Hebrew Academy’s girls’ basketball team had its best season in its history.
According to the team’s coach, Jed Davis, “Team unity was at the highest level,” he wrote in an email to the school’s parents. “The work ethic in practice was beyond reasonable expectation. They ran from one drill to the next. They kept on asking for new and harder things to work on. They were incredibly easy to coach and teach.”
The team’s one loss, by two points, was on March 4 to Renton Christian. A week later the girls had a rematch and built a 10-0 lead in the first quarter.
The result, wrote Davis, was “the point spread over two games made SHA undisputed league champion.”
