Margaret celebrated her Bat Mitzvah on August 18, 2007 at Temple De Hirsch Sinai in Seattle.
Margaret is the daughter of Peter Kahn and Josephine Ensign, and Charlene Freadman Kahn. Her brother is Jonathan Bowdler. She is the granddaughter of Erika Fluss Kahn of Santa Barbara, Calif., Erica Wishengrad of Attleboro, Mass., Milton Freadman of Becket, Mass, and the late Herbert Kahn.
Margaret will be an 8th-Grader at Eckstein Middle School. She enjoys the movies, playing her flute, writing and reading novels. She also enjoys skiing, swimming, jazz dance and in her spare time reads magazines and comics and hangs out with friends. Two of her great passions are animals and environmentalism. Over the past few months she has visited with seniors at The Summit at First Hill and the Caroline Kline Galland Home and also served food at Teenfeed, a dinner place for homeless teens.
