Matthew will celebrate his Bar Mitzvah on December 1, 2007 at Herzl-Ner Tamid Conservative Congregation on Mercer Island.
Matthew is the son of Cindy and Jeff Droker and the brother of Zach and Aliya. His grandparents are Valeria and Everett Blanchard of Nevada City, Calif., Hilde Droker of Bellevue, the late Wayne Droker and the late Richard Koch.
Matthew is in the 7th grade at Tillicum Middle School. He plays the saxophone, piano and guitar and enjoys all manner of sports including gymnastics, baseball, basketball, wrestling, skateboarding and snowboarding.
For his mitzvah project, Matthew plans to collect food and volunteer at the Jewish Family Service food bank.
