Max Sigel died on November 24, 2007 at the Kline Galland Home in Seattle.
A lifelong Seattle-area resident, Max was born in Snohomish on January 11, 1914 to Abraham and Ida Sigel.
He was a decorated veteran of World War II and served under General Patton. He was also a professional baker for over 40 years, 35 of which were spent at the Ruth Ashbrook Bakery in Seattle. He was a member of the Baker’s Union, Temple De Hirsch Sinai, and the Lake City Elks Club.
Max met his beloved wife, Rose Oziel, in 1951 at the Jewish Singles Club. They enjoyed skiing and during their 55 years together traveled to all 50 states, visiting many National Parks.
Max loved to fish, golf, swim and take long walks at Ravenna Park with his favorite dog, Wolf.
Max is predeceased by his wife, Rose; he is survived by his children, Morreen, Adrienne and Gary; and his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was buried at the Ashkenazic Bikur Cholim Cemetery.
