Micah will celebrate his Bar Mitzvah on September 8, 2007 at Herzl-Ner Tamid Conservative Congregation on Mercer Island.
Micah is the son of Patty and Jonathan Lazarus of Mercer Island, and brother of Jake and Sophie. He is the grandson of Maryellen and Joseph Eastern of Woodinville, Earl Lazarus of Philadelphia, Pa., the late Lucille Lazarus and the late Merielle Eastern, for whom he was named.
Micah is a 7th-Grader at Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences. He loves baseball, basketball, golf, wake and snowboarding, reading, cooking, travel with his family and hanging out with his friends. In lieu of Bar Mitzvah gifts, Micah is asking for contributions to Peace Players International, which is dedicated to bridging social divides between children in countries with religious and cultural conflict (like Israel) through basketball leagues.
