Sarah Rubin of Renton and Joel Zimmerman of Seattle have announced their engagement. They will be married on April 12, 2008 in Seattle.
Sarah is the daughter of Charles and Ellen Rubin of Bellevue and the granddaughter of the late Charles and Rita Degginger and the late Sam and Fannie Rubin. She is a graduate of Newport High School and the University of Washington, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts. She is currently employed as a graphic designer with the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish County in Bellevue.
Joel is the son of Stephanie Zimmerman of Greensboro, N.C. and Peter Zimmerman of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He is the grandson of Barbara Zimmerman of Boca Raton, Fla., the late Jules Zimmerman and the late Mickey and Ann Schwartz. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in English. He is currently enrolled in an MBA program at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. He is employed as the Northwest District Sales Manager for Subaru of America, Inc.
