Temple B’nai Torah has joined with Temple Beth Am, Temple De Hirsch Sinai, Herzl-Ner Tamid Conservative Congregation and Congregation Beth Shalom to continue the Singles Shabbat Schmooze program to reach out to Jewish singles. The next event will be held Jan. 5 at Temple B’nai Torah in Bellevue.
“Single Doesn’t Mean Alone” is a rotating, bi-monthly Shabbat schmooze which encourages singles in the 32-55 age range to sample the synagogues in the area. Rather than focusing on the “meet your mate” aspect, this effort is designed to welcome singles into Jewish communal life, and give them opportunities to meet new friends with whom they can celebrate Shabbat and holidays.
On Jan. 5, Temple B’nai Torah will host a Singles Shabbat Dinner. Singles are invited to join in for Nashir Shabbat Services — a Shabbat service completely in song — at 6:15 p.m. This will be followed by a catered Shabbat dinner at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per person. Pre-registration and pre-payment is requested by Jan. 2. For information or reservations, contact Lauren at 425-603-9677. Temple B’nai Torah is located at 15727 N.E. 4th St. in Bellevue.
