AMHSI program extended to adults

By , Special to JTNews

Many parents have sent their children on the Alexander Muss High School in Israel (AMHSI) program. Now adults will be able to experience it for themselves in an abbreviated version, Oct. 16—31, 2001.
Maureen Davis, AMHSI Adult Session chair, says, “Now that we all have rallied for Israel, it’s time to visit Israel! Whether this is your first time visiting Israel or you have been there before, you’ve never experienced Israel like this before. True solidarity with Israel at this time is expressed by learning about it’s past and understanding the historic process that has created the present situation.”
To put it all in proper context, the AMHSI faculty will help to re-enact events at the actual historic sites. Participants will study history from ancient times to modern day in chronological order, while based in 5-star hotels. Some sites include Tel Gezer, Jerusalem, Massada, Tzfat, Yad VaShem, Tel Aviv, the Negev and the Golan Heights. For more information about the adult trip, call Maureen Davis at 952-949-3783.
