Meditations

By Sam Levinson, , Seattle

When I read the column written by Rabbi Ted Falcon (“Listening to tradition,” Feb. 2) in your current edition, I was reminded of the denunciation of Jews attracted to the “flesh pots of interfaith relations.” What central tenets do the Christians have that they haven’t taken from the Hebrew Scriptures? Why does he feel he needs them?
As to the Muslim — well, certain of them think think we’ve descended from pigs and monkeys. They’re too thick to realize that since we have the same father (Abraham), they too must be also descended from pigs and monkeys. Ask the Falcon to put that in his pipe and medidate on it!
