More harm done

By Sylvia Sterne, , Seattle

I do not accept Albert Feldmann (Letters, Sept. 15) and other American Jews being appalled that a supposedly anti-Israel piece of theater can be performed here in Seattle. Does anyone remember how hard Jews fought to maintain freedom of speech and civil liberties? Does anyone remember that the neo-Nazis were allowed the right to march in Skokie, Ill.? When did Jews become blind to what it means to be American and tolerate diversity of opinion? I believe a boycott of Seattle Rep would only increase the harm already done to the Jewish community by a deluded Muslim.
