The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle announced Wednesday night, Sept. 12, that they solidarity rally scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 23, had been postponed.
“The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle and our many partners in our planned rally in solidarity with the people of Israel, recognize that this is not the time for a rally,” Jewish Federation officials wrote in a e-mailed statement.
“We urge all people of good will take time to gather with friends, neighbors and relatives — in homes and places of worship — to pray for an end to terrorism throughout the world.”
A new date for a rally with a new message about the intertwined destiny of the United States and Israel, partners in democracy and pursuers of peace, will be announced in the near future.
