The Menachem Mendel Seattle Cheder recently named Shae Morry, M.S., as associate principal. Morry has an extensive background as an educator, having taught and administered in the public, private and religious sectors.
Her experience bridges nursery through college levels. Morry, who holds a master’s degree in counseling in addition to being certified in nursery through middle school education, has also provided therapeutic and motivational services to clients such as Duke University’s eating disorder programs and large companies in Research Triangle Park through her Wellness seminars.
Morry, who served as lower school principal of the Jewish Community School of Las Vegas for the last three years, worked on the programs associated with the coveted PEJE Grant, which rewards excellence in Jewish education in the United States. Her mission is to create exceptional secular studies programs and to augment the pedagogical practices of our Judaic studies programs. Recognized special events will be continued at the cheder with Morry’s special flair. Additionally, she will be involved in all aspects of daily life at the cheder. Morry joins her two sons and their families here in Seattle.
