The Stroum Jewish Community Center of Greater Seattle is the winner of a 2002 communications award for “maintaining standards of excellence” in promoting its Night & Day for the “J” annual fund-raiser, the Jewish Community Centers of North America Association (JCCA) announced this month. The JCCA honored the Stroum JCC with its Model of Innovation Award in the category of Special Events Publicity Package, and commended the center for “exceptional achievement in marketing, communications and public relations.”
The Stroum JCC’s entry to the national awards competition comprised “Night & Day” publicity material including posters, Centerline newsletter articles, an invitation, postcards and a video. Proceeds from the annual fund-raiser help the JCC subsidize memberships, camperships and preschool tuition for low-income children and families, as well as provide transportation and social services for senior adults.
The winning entries will be exhibited at JCC Association’s Biennial convention in Los Angeles this April 21—24.
