Liz Siegel, left, Leah Rosenwald, center and Andrew Ash climb the last steps of Masada during the Young Leadership Division of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle’s recent mission to Israel. The group of nearly 60 (Ash is actually a former Seattleite studying in Israel to enter rabbinical school) spent two weeks traveling up and down the country, with activities that also included teaching English to children and feeding the poor in a soup kitchen.
