Zach will celebrate his Bar Mitzvah on July 28, 2007 at Sephardic Bikur Holim Congregation in Seattle.
Zach is the son of Rachel and Alex Sassoon and the brother of Jonathan, Tamar and Joshua. He is the grandson of Rabbi Robert and Lesley Kaplan of North Miami Beach, Fla. and Ruth Sassoon of Seattle. He is the great-grandson of Ruth Smiler of Philadelphia, the late Carl Smiler, the late Beatrice and Irving Kaplan and the late Florence and Ben Maslan.
Zach will be an 8th-Grader at the Seattle Hebrew Academy. He enjoys playing basketball and hanging out with his friends.
